Position Summary

Energizer is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Engineering and Maintenance Team.

Accountabilities
  • Provide technical assistance to the electrical skilled trades personnel in troubleshooting manufacturing, packaging and facilities equipment.
  • Work with Electrical Engineer on various projects and equipment improvements.
  • Works with engineers to supervise and appraise the electrical skill trades.
  • Identifies skill improvement opportunities for the electrical skilled trades and works to elevate their skills and knowledge.
  • Participates and complies with all required OSHA, NFPA, and internal electrical standards.
  • Ensures the electrical skill trades meet all required OSHA, NFPA, and internal standards.
  • Keeps abreast of new electrical/electronic technology developments and applies them where appropriate.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum: 2 years Electronics/Electrical Technology Degree.
  • Minimum: 3+ years as Engineering Technician and/or equivalent role.
  • Qualified candidates must have strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience with basic electronic controls, PLC’s (program Allen Bradley), relay logic, variable frequency drives, stepper & servo controls systems, applications of electrical and mechanical sensors.
  • Knowledge and applications of the NEC
  • Experience reading and interpreting electronic schematics.
  • Must be able authorized to work full-time in the United States.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems and electrical substations.
  • Experience with Vision systems and PC/DCS systems.
  • Project-Management A – MS Project knowledge of infrared/preventative maintenance technologies of electrical systems.
