Embedded Applications Software Engineer

Novi, MI

Our client, a developer of advanced electronic braking systems, is looking for an Applications Engineer to join their growing team. In this position, you’ll work with the embedded software team on basic software design, software testing, technical software support and coordinate the development of requirements.

Responsibilities of Embedded Applications Engineer

• Analyze internal/external basic software requirements to support software implementation on electric brake systems.
• Technical discussion for Autosar, OTA, MA & establishing key management process with internal and external customer.
• Integrate CAN communication software & third-party software (interface design between third party & host software).
• Software development and validation using testing tools in simulated environments, HIL/SIL, and in vehicle.
• Support the analysis of software findings and their resolution by using various testing environments.
• Technical software product management: definition of development steps, functions, validation, & implementation.

Qualifications of Embedded Applications Engineer

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2+ years of experience in real-time embedded software development for automotive systems.
• Background in chassis systems is a plus.
• Experience in software coordination and management
• Programming Languages and scripting: C language, Python, etc.
• Experience with V model development cycle, with CMMI ISO 26262, A-SPICE Software Development Processes.
• Background with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.) and their software interfaces.
• AUTOSAR BSW configuration using Electrobit and DaVinci configurator and knowledge of Autosar standards preferred.
• Developed software in compliance with CMMI, ISO 26262, and/or ASPICE based Software Development Processes
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Compensation of Embedded Applications Engineer
Salary Range: $85,000-110,000/year
