Engineering Technician

FULL-TIME

$20/hr

The Engineering Technician supports the molding operation with the process, equipment, part quality, and issue troubleshooting. This technician also participates in continuous improvement and safety projects with the engineering and maintenance teams.

Essential functions & responsibilities:
- Establishing a new molding process for new and existing tooling
- Addressing and resolving daily manufacturing problems
- Participating in new machine start-up and commissioning
- Generating and maintaining molding related work instructions
- Participating in molding related training efforts
- Participating in molding process design, modification, troubleshooting, and maintenance projects
- Be available for on-call emergency projects/repairs and overtime as necessary
- Auditing molding related corrective action activities for accuracy completeness
- Identifying plant-wide inefficiencies and propose/implement corrective action
- Participating in plant-wide safety efforts
- Facilitating small to medium size engineering projects (define requirements, test & compile data, research alternatives, analyze results, perform cost analysis, and make recommendations, implement)

Shift start: 6:00PM
Shift length: 12 hours

Qualifications

• Must pass background check
• Can lift 50 lbs
• Must be at least 18+ years old

Two-year post-high school education in an industrial or technical discipline and at least 5 years experience in plastic processing or equivalent Strong computer skills
