Entry Level Machine Operator

FULL-TIME

$17.55/hr

· Operating mobile equipment in various departments within the mill, requiring training on multiple pieces of equipment and multiple processes.
· Comply with all site safety requirements and procedures.
· Performs various housekeeping, cleaning, and organizing functions with minimal supervision to ensure areas are clean and free from debris.
· Performs all work assignments in various areas and departments of the mill in a professional manner that complies with all safety, environmental, and quality requirements for the mill.
· Prioritizes work and take appropriate action to ensure all areas remain operational.
· Operates equipment for Roll finishing (banding, wrapping, labeling, sorting).
· Operates Clamp Truck to load trucks with finished products.
· Operates Forklift to unload bales from trailers and railcars.
· Operates Forklift to load conveyors with product according to a predetermined pattern/recipe.
· Writes safety and maintenance work orders to correct or address equipment operational issues.

Schedule

Shift start: Based on route
Shift length: 8.5 hours
Must work rotating/swing shifts and work overtime

Qualifications

• Must pass drug screen
• Must pass background check
• Can lift 50 lbs
• Must be at least 18+ years old

Must get Georgia Work Ready Certification prior to hire Must have two year’s continuous work history in the last 5 years in production, industrial, warehouse or related industry; OR be a recent graduate within the last 12 months. Must have Work Ready Certificate - Bronze or above Computer literacy required, with MS Office experience a plus. Must be able to safely operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, operate power hand tools, and other duties as assigned. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, coworkers, and management. Must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and respond to call-ins when contacted.
