Job Description

The Environmental Graphic Designer plays an integral role in successful project deliveries from early concepts to final completion. The Environmental Graphic Designer position is responsible for a wide variety of architectural graphic projects such as wayfinding signage, monument signs, office building interior signage packages, and creative wall graphics. The graphic designer may work under the direction of a senior designer/project manager or as part of an integrated team for a range of commercial clients, building types, and markets.


Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and design graphical concepts such as wayfinding signage, monument signs, office building interior signage packages, creative wall graphics that enhance the environmental design experience
  • Acquire a comprehensive knowledge of internal expectations regarding ENTOS Design’s architectural process, design quality, and responsiveness to clients
  • Sustain a solid understanding of client or tenant needs, requirements, and objectives including their mission/vision, company principles, brand guidelines, design standards, and business goals
  • Survey existing conditions at project sites to determine functional and visually appealing signage solutions
  • Present designs and manage client feedback through exceptional planning and exemplary delivery to create and maintain strong client relationships
  • Create effective marketing presentations made to inspire clients and positively convey our firm’s integrative design strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in the architectural industry


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), MS Office Suite, Revit, and AutoCAD
  • Highly creative with visionary thinking and brainstorming abilities
  • Understanding of the environmental graphic design process and documentation standards from initial concepts through final execution
  • Thorough knowledge of the design and construction process
  • Relevant code knowledge
  • Ability to be flexible, work both independently and collaboratively, and be dedicated to projects of all sizes and types
  • Ability to translate graphic communication solutions from design objectives
  • Knowledge of typography and font styles, and a working knowledge of legibility guidelines, standards development, materials, production, and signage fabrication methods
  • Ability to perform key deliverables, including conceptual sketches, sign location plans, project schedules, elevations, specifications, and 2D and 3D visualizations, and other supporting collateral
  • Ability to align, prioritize, and manage numerous projects in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and strive to design within the constraints of schedule and budget, without sacrificing quality
