Job Description

Primary Purpose: Responsible for overseeing the yard management at designated location(s) to ensure maximum utilization of trailers and other various Company equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains yard inventory by auditing equipment pools, researching idle or missing equipment, and creating container inventory reports, etc.
• Acts as liaison between Shop, Operations and Customer to ensure maximum use of equipment.
• Oversees trailer transload process.
• Coordinates equipment to reposition to ensure trailer pool requirements are met.
• Assists in routing damaged equipment to shop for rapid repair. Assists in routing sold/leased equipment to the correct location.
• Assigns empty equipment to drivers when required.
• Perform other duties by leadership.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilities the success of business operations in order to meeting company demands and expectations.
