Job Description
Ideal candidate:
He/she should have a solid background, knowledge, and experience with Comparable Projects like Waste to Energy, Oil & Gas refinery, renewable power projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The candidate should have extensive experience in equity fundraising/ M&A transactions in large-scale infrastructure IPP/PPP/ IWPP projects (Power Generation, Renewables, High Voltage Substations/Transmission, Water, etc.).
- Should have significantly contributed to projects in the arrangement of equity/ mezzanine financing, relationship management with investors, and consultants.
- Building and reviewing complex Financial Models, CMA, and DCF models for equity valuation and business analysis
- Working closely with global business and debt team for procurement of project-level information, building data bank, working with advisors for the structuring of equity investment for the asset portfolio.
- Carrying out financial, techno-commercial, and policy/ regulatory due diligence.
- Experience in structuring the financing in the most tax-efficient and cost-efficient manner through discussions with a financial advisor, tax advisor, and legal advisors.
- Experience in pitching investment books based on project information memorandum (PIM) and Financial Model.
- Working with Banks, NBFCs, and Financial Institutions in Private Equity, Infrastructure/ Green funds, Strategic/ Financial investors for raising Equity/ Mezzanine financing for infrastructure projects (PPP/IPP – BOO/BOOT/BOT) preferably in renewable energy, T&D, water sectors.
- Presentation of management review, steering committee presentations/ MIS for decision making.
- Experience in negotiation and working with the deal team for closure of transaction documentation including share sale/ purchase agreements, compliance documents, shareholding agreements, etc.
- Investment performance reporting and management.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications: Chartered Accountant / Master’s degree in Finance (MBA/ PG Diploma) from a premier institute
(Chartered Financial Analyst (Level 2 cleared and above) from CFA Institute, USA would be added advantage)
Experience: 5-7 Years
- Generic Skills: Excellent background in investment, portfolio management, and equity fundraising activities related to large Infrastructure (Power, Oil&Gas, T&D, Water, etc., under PPP model) related projects.
