Unit Description:

Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking an Executive Chef 2 to join our high profile account Bose in Framingham MA! 

 

The Sodexo Bose account features 4 separate cafes serving breakfast, lunch and catering on the Framingham technology park campus, all supported by a central kitchen and powered by state-of-the-art mobile ordering and self-checkout technology. The portfolio also includes micro-market at our Boston Landing location.

 

The Executive Chef will be responsible for but not limited to:

 

  • Overseeing the daily culinary operation in a commissary kitchen, and overseeing the distribution of the food to Bose cafes.
  • Menu Planning
  • Ordering/Inventory
  • Food and Labor cost
  • 85% hands on in the kitchen working with the team
  • Strategic planning
  • Developing and administering Food policies, programs and practices
  • Cash management and control
  • Direct customer/client interaction
  • Leadership support for a team of 10 non union hourly employees.

The successful candidate will have at least 3-4 years’ experience in food management leadership, a strong financial acumen, computer literacy as well as excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills. Prior management experience in corporate environment is a plus for the role.

 

This position offers a traditional Business and Industry, predominantly Monday through Friday, schedule. Accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire).  Medical Benefits beginning date of hire, and 401K with company match eligible.

Position Summary:

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. 
Key Duties
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function. 
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
-  Manages food & physical safety programs.

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
