Ingevity seeks a motivated team player who enjoys working in a dynamic environment to analyze data to drive decisions. This role is within the FP&A function but will work in close cooperation with the corporate functional leaders on SG&A expenses and other reporting needs. The ideal candidate will be excellent at communicating and assisting in executing complex projects.

How you will Impact Ingevity:

  • Providing weekly and monthly sales and profitability reporting and analysis of financial results
  • Responsibilities in the development of the financial forecast, annual plan, and strategic plan
  • Supporting segment SG&A functions’ monthly forecasts, actual reporting, and cost center review meetings
  • Working with manufacturing plant controllers, Sales & Operating Planning, and Supply Chain on various reports and ad-hoc projects
  • Performing capital investment project justification analysis for organic reinvestment in the organization
  • Fast-paced, ever-changing role positioned for growth within a publicly traded company
  • In this role, you will gain exposure to our business’ end-to-end transactional processes, support Six Sigma and Operational Excellence diagnostic and improvement projects, enhance monthly financial reporting processes, strengthen business profitability analysis, and advance detailed economic value-added analysis

What you need to succeed:

  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years' experience working in financial analysis
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Driven, fast learner, self-starter, able to overcome obstacles and see projects through to completion
  • Advanced Excel skills, high-level PowerPoint & Word proficiency; experience w/ SAP & Power BI
  • Ability to build reports from the idea phase as well as update and enhance legacy reports
  • Demonstrated professional interaction with employees at all levels
  • Flexibility to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to thrive in a sometimes ambiguous, ever-changing environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Professional experience with a manufacturing company a plus
