Vector Technical' s partner is an equipment manufacturer in the mobile food service industry.  They are searching for the right individual to fill their Fabrication Supervisor  position! 

Direct Hire
$70 - $75k/yr.  

Job Summary:
Supervise the overall direction and coordination of assigned production areas to ensure that all scheduled work is met during the shift. Coordinate and communicate with the management team to provide present status with parts, materials, manpower and equipment conditions. 

Responsibilities:   

  • Responsible for safety and health within the departments/plant making sure all procedures that have been implemented are followed and obeyed. Work to ensure all company policies and procedures are followed and administer discipline when necessary. 
  • Review daily production requirements needed in Fabrication and Electrical assembly areas. Review all build schedules and fabricated required parts through visual and generating fabrication buffer report. Delegate manpower in respective departments to ensure effective utilization of resources that will ensure daily targets are met.
  • Ensure that production and quality expectations are achieved for assigned production areas. Monitor operational methods that can provide continuous improvements within the production/assembly areas.
  • Constant supervision to ensure all company goals and objectives are met on a daily and weekly basis. Work within the budget allotment, control spending
  • Display positive leadership that is consistent with the Company’ s values and direction. Perform all tasks as required by the Operations Manager that is necessary throughout the organization. Ensure our customers with good quality and on time products for delivery.
  • Effectively communicate with peers and managers relevant information needed to conduct business. Report and confirm manpower and capacity issue the effect the operation of the plant
  • Ensure housekeeping and maintenance practices are being followed. Assist with scheduling and purchasing of required parts needed for maintenance 

Requirements:  
  • Education and Experience: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three year to five related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP Symix/Syteline
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, vendors, customers, and/or the general public.
