We are currently seeking qualified candidates to work as a Family Nurse Practitioner in our office.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and treatment of care for patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Outpatient medical consultation services under supervision of a physician in our medical office.
  • Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating new and existing patient’s medical conditions.
  • Conducting follow-up patient care.
  • Ordering and interpreting lab, radiology, and other diagnostic study results.
  • Prescribing and referring patients for consultations when appropriate.
  • Answering emergency telephone calls after hours and weekends on a rotating schedule.
  • Administer and order drugs for patients.
  • Complete all notes/tasks in patient’s EMR account indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed.
  • Perform patient physicals.
  • Providing health education to patients and families.
  • Supervising/coordinating the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with a nurse protocol agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Master’s in Nursing
  • Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Current APRN licensure in Georgia
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
  • Clinical experience in Family Practice preferred
