Great Southwestern Construction, Inc., a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc., is a specialty electrical contractor based in Castle Rock, CO that has been in business since 1977. Their primary focus is the construction of high voltage transmission lines and substations for utilities and renewable energy developers in the western and southeast regions of the United States.

The Field Engineer is an entry level management position that will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with the day to day operations of an assigned construction project. Position will be in the field and job locations will vary based on ongoing projects we have nationwide. The ability to travel and relocate to projects is essential to the success of this position. 

*Candidates with no industry experience will be required to do a 6 month field rotation as a Groundman prior to transitioning into the Field Engineer position full-time.

Duties can include but will not be limited to: 

• Project safety processes

• Quality control monitoring

• Production reporting

• Cost reporting

• Scheduling 

• Other duties as required

• Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable

Qualifications: 

• BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

• Be able to travel extensively for long periods of time
• Enjoy working in an outdoor construction environment

• Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($52,600-$66,000). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
