A global leader in multi-sector catering is looking for a Finance Coordinator in the Humble area. As the Finance Coordinator, you will report to the Finance Supervisor and generate financial records and check financial records for accuracy. The work involves data entry, the maintenance of various account records, and routine problem-solving.

Salary: 40 - 45K Location: 77032

Essential functions

· Contribute to the month end closing process including journal entries, without supervision

· Ensure that all postings are accurate and authorized in accordance with company systems.

· With the ability to develop and execute processes to ensure timely closeout and billing of customer and payment of vendor invoices

· Prepare timely bank and balance sheet reconciliations as required.

· Assist with development and implementation of new accounting standards

· Identify process gaps, and work collaboratively with operations staff to implement process improvements and/or automation

· Adhere to, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting control procedures

· Participate in accounting software upgrade procedures by adding inputs and support to ensure successful execution

· Capable to Investigate and resolve problems associated with the processing of invoices and purchase orders.

· Able to process remittance information from ACH and wire transfers for invoices provided by vendors, reviewing instructions accompanying items to determine proper disposition and crediting accounts in accordance with standard procedures.

· Oversight of tax compliance, ensuring accurate, timely reporting and filings for local taxes

· Special projects and other ad-hoc requests as assigned

· Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

Requirements

· Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

· Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

· Proficient in ERP systems

· Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

· Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

· Solid understanding of navigating basic office equipment and protocols

· Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

· Recent and relevant accounting experience

· Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computation, or any other degree with math skills preferred

· Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
