What you'll do...

This position will act as the primary business support person for Retail market leadership and will manage the Finance function for a retail market consisting of 7-8 regions. This position is fully responsible for financial partnership and decision making with senior level leadership, both operational and functional. Duties will include, but not be limited to, the development and execution of strategic market plans, management decision support to contribute to business growth and earnings management, business analysis of relevant trends, and direct communication of business results, trends, and risks to senior leaders (Directors and VPs).

Day to Day you'll ...

  • Work as the primary business support person for the market leadership team by supporting management decision making by providing the analytical evaluation of business opportunities. Identify critical factors affecting the profitability of proposed initiatives to achieve results consistent with goals. Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate business opportunities.
  • Lead the financial management process for the entire market to include: Converting a strategic plan into short-term financial targets and budgets, monthly financial analysis and risk mitigation, consolidation and reporting to senior leaders on financial results and trends, ad-hoc financial analysis to support business development and growth.
  • Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting efforts by partnering with field leaders and others within the Finance team. Train the field on all budgeting and financial reporting tools, including our planning system, Adaptive. Assist with the annual field target setting process including leading the review of the budget to ensure that predefined metrics are adhered to and the budget is constructed to maximize the market's ability to achieve stated goals.
  • Support market leaders in their understanding and evaluation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to labor, scheduling, client trends, and other critical areas to drive business performance.
  • Assist field management in their use of our primary reporting tool (Looker/Hub) and assist with supplemental reporting when deemed appropriate.
  • Coordinate with others on the Finance team including the Retail consolidation team in driving analyses on key areas of the business.
  • Lead the analyst that directly reports to this position and mentor other analysts within the team to help develop those persons and to achieve strong results as a team.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs and make presentations to the field that build skills in financial management, planning, business modeling, and data analysis.


What you'll bring to the team...

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field -OR- equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPA, CFA, or CMA designation not required but preferred.
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance not required but preferred.
  • A minimum of five years' experience performing sophisticated financial analysis of business or business divisions.
  • Demonstrated experience providing leadership and direction related to financial analysis and planning.
  • Experience providing financial, economic and business analysis results to management.
  • Working knowledge of financial and general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other financial software.
  • Ability to identify potential risks associated with a proposed business initiative and recommend alternative solutions.
  • Ability to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis and evaluation of alternate solutions.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the company.
  • Willingness to travel (likely <10%) for national, market, and regional meetings.
