Job Description

HBF, an industry leader in workplace furnishings and a top brand in the HNI Corporation enterprise, is in search of a (JOB TITLE) to join our team in Hickory, NC!

Primary Purpose:  A financial analyst must possess and demonstrate strong organizational, problem solving, technology, communication and analytical skills.  

Some of the essential aspects of the position include:

• • Performs financial analysis and modeling
  • Assists in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management
  • Analyzes, interprets and communicates cost and expense detail, and variances to management
  • Determines and verifies cost allocations according to company procedures
  • Prepares income and balance sheet statements, and various other accounting statements and reports
  • Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records
  • Conducts special studies and develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures
  • Develops cost standards, analyzes costs, and supports quoting / pricing process
  • Performs monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses
  • Maintains and reconciles schedules in support of financial statements (e.g. fixed assets)
  • Reconciles sub-ledgers and transactional detail to general ledger account balances
  • Performs other duties in support of business operations, as assigned

What it takes:

• Minimum qualifications include 3-5 years related experience and bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and may have advanced degree or additional professional accreditations.
