Job Description

This position will manage the administration, configuration, setup and integration of the accounting systems for a growing company with 260 locations throughout the United States. You will become the primary subject matter expert in how all of our accounting systems are used throughout the organization. This is a great opportunity for an accounting systems admin with a strong accounting/finance background and a proven ability to work with non-technical users to understand how the Financial systems are utilized by the organization, administer the improvement and implementation of integrations with other systems, and drive the improvement of the financial systems and how they are used across the company. You will be responsible for supporting the accounting systems for all of our accounting and finance staff as well as our business operators, acting as both tier 2 tech support for user issues with the systems and as an advisor on the best way to set up and utilize the systems for various user and company requirements. You will coordinate with our software vendors, consultants and internal developers to ensure we utilize all applicable functions of our applications efficiently. ● Accounting and finance systems implementation, management and administration
   experience
● Accounting and finance background
● Excellent oral and written presentation and communication skills
● Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks
● Proven ability to create application and process documentation
● Proven skills and experience with translating user needs into technical requirements
● Ability to present technical information to non-technical users
● Customer service oriented with a problem solving attitude
● The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, a self-starter, creative, able to work
   independently, possess a strong attention to detail and have a “can do” attitude
● 3+ years experience in Accounting and financial systems
● Ability to work with minimal supervision and assistance

Preferred:
● Familiarity with Google Suite and Office 365 applications
● Project management experience
● Familiarity with SAGE 500, Doclink, Premier Depreciation, FYISoft
● Familiarity with Microsoft dynamics 365
● Familiarity with iOS and/or Android
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business or related field

● Develops understanding of how the finance and accounting systems function
● Develops understanding of our accounting and finance teams’ processes and tasks
● Develops understanding of how the accounting and finance systems interact with each
   other and with other key technology systems
● Acts as a Subject Matter Expert in how the Accounting and finance systems are used by
   various key stakeholders in the organization (AP, Revenue, Finance, Reporting,
   Operations)
● Acts as Tier 2 support for issues with the financial systems before escalating to vendors
   and / or integration / data engineers
● Provides system training to accounting users
● Configures and modifies the Accounting and Finance systems based on user and
  organization needs
● Acts as a liaison between Vendors, IT and business communities in developing and
   implementing improvements to the Financial systems
● Works with key stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate solutions to issues within the
   accounting and finance systems
● Analyzes data and reports in system to look for issues or concerns in how Finance and
   accounting systems are being utilized and works to overcome issues with key users
● Generates and distributes scheduled and ad-hoc reporting
● Identifies Financial systems improvement and enhancement requirements by
   interviewing end users and analyzing existing use of system, reports, and operations.
● Works with vendors and users to ensure company uses systems effectively

● Learns about new Accounting systems features and determines suitability of features for
   use within company
● Tracks existing and new Accounting system improvements and requests to completion
● Documents and prioritizes requests for enhancements
● Works with vendors and developers to improve and enhance systems and track requests
   for new functionality
● Works with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve urgent issues and concerns
● Works to improve user experience with Accounting system and integrations
● Facilitates communications between users and vendors to ensure Accounting systems
   are used effectively while maintaining or improving existing functionality
● Creates and updates documentation and training for Accounting systems.
