This is a contingent worker temporary position. If you are selected for this position, you will be employed through an agency, not directly though Orchid. However, you may be eligible for conversion to an employee position after only a few months in this role.

SHIFT

A BRIEF OVERVIEW

The Operations Technician, Finishing performs various operations including but not limited to trimming, part washing, laser engraving, pad printing and cosmetic inspection to achieve the required surface dimension and finish of medical devices.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Use hand tools to trim excess material from manufactured plastic medical implants.
• Dimensionally inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, pin gauges, measuring instruments, etc. as required.
• Follow designated safety rules and regulations.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
• Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule.
• Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products.
• Reinforces safety expectations. Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated. Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor.
• Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Completes all required training.
• Use carts to safely transport product.
• Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
• Detect & report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ Year Prior Work Experience (Required)
• Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
• Operations Experience (Preferred)
