Full Stack Developer
 

Location
This position is available to Virginia residents as Richmond, VA and Lynchburg, VA in-office applicants.

This position is available to Massachusetts residents as Waltham, MA in-office applicants.

Your Role
At CareScout, you will be joining a globally distributed development team working collaboratively within the IT department, with business leaders and end users to understand business needs, present the solutions, build and support IT systems. At Carescout as full stack developer, you will have the opportunity to use the web technologies to build responsive web applications and mobile applications. You will also be instrumental in the bringing the latest technologies into CareScout to meet the business needs. You will exhibit a high level of professionalism, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, Troubleshoot, and fix production problems as they arise by brainstorming best possible solution understanding impact of system downtime and SLA

  • Responsible for supporting business needs by developing solutions

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders in all levels of the organization and geographically dispersed technology team

  • Translate simple to complex user stories into design and working software

  • Work independently without supervision daily

  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities

  • Continuously improve software engineering practices

Your Qualifications

  • BS in computer science or equivalent certifications

  • 3 years of experience in developing applications modern applications

  • 3 years of Experience in digital language and frameworks like C# .NET, JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular, ASP.NET 4.5, Java, Bootstrap, CSS, HTML

  • 3 years of Experience in Relational Database technologies like Progress, SQL Server, and Oracle

  • 3 years of Experience in Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall project methodologies

  • Ability to work well with changing priorities

  • Ability to learn and master new technologies

  • Good understanding of Software Engineering principles

  • Continuous Process improvement mindset

Additional Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Insurance and Eldercare Management Operations (Health, Long Term Care and Disability Insurance)

  • Knowledge of OWASP top 10
