Full-Time Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)- Polk IMPACT Team

Job Description

Come join our Polk IMPACT Team and supporting students in need! The Polk County IMPACT team services 10 therapeutic classrooms located at 10 different school sites around the district. Each therapeutic classroom is led by an ESE certified teacher, a classroom aide/paraprofessional, and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). IMPACT therapists are assigned two school sites, dividing their time amongst 50/50. A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supports each classroom as well. The IMPACT team provides intensive academic, behavioral (ABA), and mental-health interventions with the goal to transition students to the least restrictive environment with significant success in the acquisition of new skills.

An IMPACT Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide intensive services for both children and adolescents, as well as supporting parents through skills training as per Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The following summarizes duties, as assigned:

Be familiar with the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)
Be able to design, model, and implement varied group contingencies
Develop systems/methods of collecting and organizing data for use across multidisciplinary users (Ie. RBTs, Teachers, Paraprofessionals, administrators, etc)

Requirements:

Master’s degree in Special Education or related human service field
Successful completion of internship and/or formal training in the analysis of behavioral and instructional strategies
Ability to work with a variety of clients in regards to age, functionality, and with minimal direction
Certified as a BCBA for a minimum of 2 years
Experience working with students with significant behaviors, such as physical aggression, verbal threats, elopement, property destruction, self-injurious behaviors
Experience in the school setting preferred
