The Recreation Aide will implement a variety of group activities and programs based on the resident’s individual abilities and preference.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead small and large resident recreation group activities including cognitive enrichment activities, physical fitness activities and classes
• Assist in running monthly festivities and parties at the facility
• Organize activities of special interest to residents
• All duties must be performed while ensuring resident safety, maintaining confidentiality and showing sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have CNA
• Energetic, enthusiastic, creative, takes initiative, enjoys working with the elderly.
• Previous Experience working in a geriatric/adult population preferred
• Must be a team player with a compassionate, outgoing, and pleasant personality.
• Must possess strong organizational skills.
• Must have COVID vaccination
