Shift Availability: Full Time 10pm-6am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Geriatric Nursing Assistant provides basic resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse and assists in the maintenance of the unit environment.

Receives reports regarding the status of assigned residents at the beginning of the shift.

Gives reports to supervising nurse at the end of the shift.

Performs direct and indirect resident care activities as ordered and consistent with the facility's policies and procedures.

a. Bathing residents (bedbath, tub, shower)

b. Feeding residents

c. Toileting residents (bedpan, urinal, bedside, commode, bathroom)

e. Assisting residents in grooming (hair care, nail care, foot care), etc.

Transports and escorts residents.

Documents care as necessary.

Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of residents' care plans.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School graduation or equivalent.

Speak and understand English.

Current certification as a G.N.A/Geriatric Nursing Assistant in the state of employment.
