Peace Healthcare at Dennett Road Manor is accepting applications for full-time GNA students. Peace Healthcare at Dennett Road Manor is committed to providing excellence in the care and services to those we serve. We are seeking individuals to provide nursing aide services who are positive, caring and dedicated- we will provide the education!

Upon class completion, new graduates must be able to work a full-time schedule with every other weekend. We offer flexible shift times and have day, evening, and night shift availibility. Those who receive their CNA will be eligible to take the GNA exam through the Maryland Board of Nursing. 

DETAILS:

• Class Start Date: 11/15/22 (tentative)
• Class Duration: 5 weeks (tentative) 100 classroom hours, followed by 40 clinical hours. 
• Class Schedule: Weekly-3 days/week, primarily Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8a-4p.

JOB SUMMARY: In accordance with facility policies and procedures, provides direct care to residents that is of   high quality and under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Reports resident needs and concerns  to a licensed nurse and works collaboratively with the resident care team. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY (Once Licensed): 

• Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives.
• Be sensitive to residents' families and respond in an appropriate professional way as the situation requires.
• Carry out assignments for resident care including (but not limited to):
• bathing
• dressing
• grooming
• shaving
• feeding
• restorative nursing procedures
• retraining 
• Keep residents' bed, dresser, bathroom, and general living area clean and tidy.
• Answer call lights promptly. 

CLASS QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must possess high school diploma or GED. 
• Must have the ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner. 

CLASS REQUIREMENTS: 

• Perfect attendance and minimum grade standards are mandatory.
• Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine, repetitive job duties.
• Show willingness to provide good nursing care. 
• Be considerate, pleasant, and professional in the performance of his/her duties.
• Must have compassion, tolerance, and understanding for the residents of the facility.
