A Day In the Life
Install curtain walls, store front assemblies, doors and hardware
Read and interpret blueprints to measure and cut glass to specifications
Operate boom lifts, assemble and use scaffold, rigging and hoisting equipment
Install glass products according to specifications and building codes
Fasten glass into sashes or frames with clips, moldings, or other types of fasteners
Add weather seal or putty around edges to seal joints
Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work area

Ability to safely work at heights
Strong knowledge of hand/power tools in the trade
Can perform physical activities on a regular basis
Analyze information and evaluate problems
Hand-eye-coordination
Can clearly communication with supervisors and co-workers
Safely operate mechanical devices and equipment
Knowledge of glazing terms
Knowledge of glass layouts and systems
Ability to read blueprints, detail drawing and must be able to create your own fabrication sketch
Experience working with MSDS sheets
Must understand the importance of OSHA safety protocols, material data sheets, daily reports, site plans, specs, RFI, ASI, ECT
Assist in drilling, cutting, and hardware installation for glass panels and frames
Assist in the Fabrication of custom parts.
Prepare materials for shipping: vinyl wrap glass, package, etc.
Assist in loading and unloading deliveries
Assemble and build crates to ship material
Abide by safety rules and procedures
Be willing to work in other shops when needed (ACM Panel, Sheet Metal Shop)
