ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Manage the hiring, training, supervision, performance and scheduling of Pro Shop and outside service staff including cart barn and volunteer program
• Ensure that staff are properly trained in all areas of operations, hospitality, policy, and procedures
• Oversee Pro Shop attendants
• Responsible for retail merchandise cleanliness and presentation
• Responds to member and guest inquiries and complaints as needed
• Assists with all tournaments and promotions for members and guests
• Manage the scheduling, booking and fee collection of lessons
• Management of tee times and bookings
• Responsible for following budgets and realizing revenue targets
• Other job duties and projects as assigned by Stratton leadership

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma required. College degree strongly preferred.

Experience: 2 years’ previous employment with golf course required. One year management experience and 1 year retail experience required.

• Ability to read & understand a P&L

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Office Environment:

• Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
• Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices, and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
• Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
• Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, and pulling on an occasional basis.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.

Outdoors Environment: 

• A physical environment in which this position works is out of doors with a high exposure level to rain, bugs, sun, heat, lightning, etc... 
• Additional strenuous physical activity may include walking or hiking upon uneven, challenging terrain with heavy tools or equipment.
