About The Role

ROOM is a fast-paced startup looking to disrupt the existing industry by producing new digital and physical products and services that rethink tomorrow’s workspace. Our design team is on the hunt for a talented Graphic Design Intern to help translate our mission into inspiring and innovative design.

Here at ROOM, design is part of our DNA. We’re building a brand-new in-house creative studio that will support—and partner with, our Brand and Growth marketing teams. The Graphic Design Intern needs to be well-rounded and comfortable executing design projects across a range of media: print, packing, web, email, display and social channels, brand presentations, and maybe even the odd GIF.

Graphic design experience with an agency, startup or tech/CPG brand is a plus (including illustrations, icons). General understanding of both print/layout and web/digital design is preferred.

This role reports to our Digital Design Manager and is a remote paid internship.

What You’ll Do

  • Design graphic assets for campaigns, product launches, and enhancements to ROOM’s website
  • Create engaging illustrations and icons for use across website, social media, email, and more
  • Execute day-to-date editorial projects like white papers, spec books and user manuals, for both print and digital
  • Own social media posts, icons, illustrations, and decks for marketing and sales teams
  • Work closely with ROOM’s Digital Designer Manager and Project Manager, part of the Brand Marketing Team, to deliver on business and creative goals.
Who You Are
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong empathy for the end user.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Experience with Indesign and creating print layouts
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience with Figma
  • Highly collaborative and easy to work with. Comfortable with (but not always obedient to) design critiques. You use stakeholder feedback to improve, but also defend your ideas when necessary.
  • Flexible: You can quickly switch contexts and meet tight deadlines without losing fidelity.
Bonus points
