Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
· Audits, tracks, and conducts follow up on new hire paperwork and benefits, including but not limited to the
following: applications, background release forms, policy acknowledgements, Form I-9 and associated documentation
· Responsible for data entry of new hires into HRIS system
· Administers E-Verify program
· Conducts weekly New Hire Orientation via conference
· Tracks and conducts follow up on all corrective action notices, termination reports, and supporting documentation
· Manages relationships with various 3rd party vendors i.e. Unemployment Insurance Benefits and Labor Law Compliance Posters
· Reviews and provides requested information to vendor for all unemployment claims received
· Monitors Labor Law Posters and federal/state updates to ensure most current information is available at each field location
· Conducts exit interviews
· Assists with general employee inquiries upon request
· Completes employment verifications upon request
· Responsible for filing of all Company personnel paperwork
· Conducts coordination of weekly benefit packets to be distributed to field locations
· Provides back-up reception phone coverage when needed
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Human Resources or related field from 4-year College or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
· 0-2 years’ experience as an HR coordinator in a multi-state, multi-site organization
· Experience in ADP Software is strongly preferred
Technical Skills:
· Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Must be able to document and present work in a clear and concise manner
Soft Skills:
· Highly organized and detail orientated
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels within the organization
· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
· Time management skills; deadline adherence is mandatory
· The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
· Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
· Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
· May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
