POSITION: HR Generalist
COMPENSATION: $50,000 to $60,000
EDUCATION / PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associates/Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (preferred)
- Experience (5+ years) of professional experience in Human Resource
- Experience/Knowledge of Labor Laws and Local Laws/Statues
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer-related tasks (e.g., MS Office) is required
- Experience/Knowledge utilizing an ERP system (SAP preferred)
- Demonstrated communication skills (written / oral) including the ability to read/speak English
- Ability and willingness to work in an office setting with moderate noise at a manufacturing site
- Ability and willingness to work in fast-paced, matrix structured organization
- Ability and willingness to work traditional Mon-Fri work week (8am – 5pm) w/ flexibility
SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and build business rapport with employees base
- Provide support to managers, supervisors and employees regarding employee relations matters
- Maintain accurate and complete employee files with proper documentation of changes in compensation, position, benefits, training and disciplinary action
- Initiate workflows and update HR ERP system (SAP) to maintain information accuracy and data integrity, along with applicant tracking and flow
- Conduct specific HR tasks, including but not limited to; recruiting administering benefits plans, new hire orientation, monitoring absenteeism and generate report(s)
- Administer processes for FMLA, short-term disability and Worker’s Compensation
- Manage HR initiatives and projects and monitor the implementation and completion process
- Help coordinate and/or lead site activities and initiatives
- Recommend changes to company policies based on legislative changes in labor laws; interpret policies and ensure proper and fair application across departments and shifts
- Continuously improve HR functional support to plant and HR processes and procedures
- Manage related tasks like payroll support, time and attendance
- Follow cGMP (Good Manufacturing Procedures)
