Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds Division is seeking a Human Resources Manager.  The HR Manager will be based at our Amarillo, TX facility.

Position Overview:

Eaton is a power management company made up of over 92,000 employees, doing business in more than 175 countries. The HR Manager position located in Amarillo TX is the sole HR representative onsite at the manufacturing facility.  This position reports directly to the Amarillo Plant Manager.  The individuals are responsible to develop, implement and administer Human Resources policies, practices, strategies and services across Amarillo, TX plant.  The incumbent will ensure success by driving positive employee relations, supporting key business objectives, and HR functional excellence activities.

In this role you will:

  • Administer employee relations policies and procedures that are responsive to the needs of employees and customers as well as compliment the Eaton Leadership Attributes
  • Assess and select talent and train and coach managers on the process
  • Monitor performance management procedures to assure fair and equitable treatment for all employees
  • Inform and train employees of Corporate and Divisional human resources policies and procedures
  • Provide a resource for all managers and supervisors in the areas of Human Resources including guidance on motivating, counseling, and developing direct and indirect reports, as well we employee performance improvements
  • Represent the Company’s programs, policies, and procedures in matters involving EEOC, AAP, and OFCCP
  • Develop, implement and monitor compliance with affirmative action policies that meet federal and state legislation as well as Corporate policy
  • Coordinate training and development programs, including new employee orientation, to meet the needs and objectives of individuals and departments
  • Administer compensation programs to assure competitive pay practices through general wage analysis of Amarillo for hourly and merit increases for salaried employees and the OCA (succession planning) process
  • Conduct, coordinate and monitor employee meetings and involvement programs
  • Plan, develop and implement employee communication, recognition and motivational programs that enhance the working environment and aid in attracting and retaining superior talent.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum 2 years direct HR work experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipr

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in human resources or an MBA with a human resources concentration\
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • PHR or SPHR certification

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in dealing with management, employees, customers, and suppliers. Senior management level communication and presentation skills.
