Job Description

Responsible for the safe and orderly transportation of the public in agency-owned vehicles (transit vehicles, mini-buses, vans). The assigned routes are typically “fixed” with specific schedules.  Those routes might include transporting parents/guardians and their children from home to the Flat Rock Children’s Center at Blue Ridge Community College. This position will also provide support to our nutrition team with food deliveries to various school sites in Henderson County. This involves providing high-quality transportation while complying with the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education and any applicable requirements of funding sources.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: 
Minimum: High School Diploma/GED. Must possess a valid NC Commercial Driver License (CDL), (class A or B) with Passengers and School Bus endorsement and School Bus Driver Certificate of Training. Pocket card preferred. 

EXPERIENCE: 
Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation and/or in a school setting, child care facility or program. Head Start experience preferred.
