Job Description

 

 Examples of Typical Tasks:

Operational Plan Oversight - Develops and/or supervises the facility operational plan. Proactively plans for the future state of the clinic, identifying and then implementing operational enhancements to ensure that programs and services best suit facility’s patient population or programs target population as both patient and agency needs evolve.

On-Site Leadership – Works proactively with DOC to address and give context around existing or potential barriers to care and represents the agency favorably in all interagency initiatives; partners effectively with DOC within respective facility to ensure patient needs are communicated clearly and concisely. 

Patient care Coordination and Operational Management - Works collaboratively with adjacent facility team leaders to ensure that patient care needs are exceeded and serves as a team’s operational leadership resource by establishing processes and systems to support facility with minimal or no supervision.

Workforce management – Directs daily tasks assigned to clinic staff and manages administrative staff to ensure adequate support is provided across all health services. Ensures annual performance evaluations are conducted and completed with all personnel, including peer reviews with Independent Contractors. 

Safety Leadership – Applying guidance from the CHS Safety Team, assess risks, perform site surveys, and identify potential workplace safety deficiencies.  Informs the agency responsible for abating, monitors and assists to ensure that identified/reported issues are remedied. Models responsiveness and proactive approach when navigating current or potential clinic safety risks and communicates issues with the highest degree of professionalism.

Emergency Reporting and Incident Management - Adheres to and enforces all safety and security policies and procedures and participates in and ensures compliance with applicable safety/emergency drills; responsible for educating staff on conveying importance of reporting employee related accidents, injuries and incidents of workplace violence and supporting proper documentation and reporting processes. Responsible for gathering all relevant documentation to process and provide notification of all employee related accidents, injuries and incidents of workplace violence at the assigned facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Advanced Microsoft Office Suite proficiency including Excel and PowerPoint.Detail-oriented and strong organizational and follow-through to coordinate work plans, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.High degree of professionalism, courtesy, strong work ethic, integrity, regard for confidentiality and ability to work with discretion on sensitive matters.

Ability to adapt to new situations, collaborate with team members, and work under pressure with minimal supervision, when necessary.

Knowledge of policies and programs utilized in the operation of a health care facility

Preferred Experience:

Minimum four (4) years of experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in operations management or health care administration.

Minimum Qualifications

 

1. A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Engineering or Social Sciences, Health Care Specialization, Physical Sciences or related discipline and four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative, managerial and/or consultative experience and background; or
2. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in “1” above, and five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative, managerial and consultative experience and background; or
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience.
