There is a wide range of services provided by a Home Health Aide in Home Health Care. The HHA helps people who are disabled, chronically ill, or cognitively impaired. They also help older adults who may need assistance. The reason for the visits by the HHA must be to provide hands-on personal care of the patient or services needed to maintain the patient’s health. MARSCare is looking for a self-driven individual who has a passion for caring for the community and delivering premier home care service. Job Responsibilities

  • Bathing, dressing, grooming, caring for hair, nail, and oral hygiene which are needed to facilitate treatment or to prevent deterioration of the patient's health
  • Changing bed linens of the patient, shaving, deodorant application, skin care with lotions and/or powder, foot care, and ear care
  • Changing briefs as well as maintaining good hygiene and care
  • Feeding, assistance with elimination (including enemas unless skills of licensed nurse are required to the patient's condition, routine catheter care and routine colostomy care), assistance with ambulation, re-positioning the patients in bed, and assisting with transfer
  • Home Health Aide services are those services ordered in the plan of care that the aide is permitted to perform under state law
  • Home health aide should remind patient to take medications. Home health Aid can give medications to a patient when previously separated in a pill dispenser by a Registered Nurse

Qualifications:

  • Will have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have an active HHA certification in good standing or CNA license
  • Must be able to pass Criminal Background and FBI fingerprints
  • Ability to read, write and follow directions
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with residents and staff
