Key Responsibilities of the Human Resource Specialist Include:
- This position is intended to be an in-person in-office position.
- Onboarding of care staff, including caregivers, nursing assistants, and nurses.
- Back up remote recruiter by conducting interviews for applicants who prefer in-person interviews over Zoom video interviews.
- Conduct new employee onboarding and orientations.
- Plan and deploy annual training utilizing our learning management system and ensure compliance with training requirements.
- Management and oversight of employment documentation and paperwork to ensure compliance with Department of Labor, Illinois Department of Health, and the Joint Commission.
- Conduct annual employee reviews, pay rate audits and reviews, employee counseling, and disciplinary meetings in partnership with Client Care Supervisor.
- Oversight and management of employee benefit enrollment in partnership with CFO.
Requirements of the Human Resources Specialist
- Human Resources Specialist is a people person who is friendly and understanding, but comfortable giving employees honest but constructive feedback.
- Human Resources Specialist has a welcoming presence and is able to approach employee counseling from a growth and not a punative perspective.
- Human Resources Specialist is highly organized, not easily overwhelmed by big projects, and is analytic in your approach.
- Human Resources Specialist who wants to grow your career with a growing company in a helping industry.
