Job Description

The IT Network Systems Administrator is responsible for all digital communication and the IT networks that allow companies to communicate both internally and externally. The Network/Systems Administrator is expected to install new systems to improve the company’s communication structure while maintaining the upkeep of existing networks.


  • Manage administration of the operations of the IT Help Desk ticket response and resolution process. Address inquiries, resolve issues, manage internal SLA’s, and obtain feedback proactively
  • Establishing and maintain administration of the IT and digital communication infrastructure, including wireless or LAN networks
  • Establishing and maintaining administration of digital communication software, including email, user logins and passwords; this includes setting up new employees with company email accounts and providing them with access to the network, as well as troubleshooting for existing employees
  • Administrating various devices and services [website] routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, WiFi)
  • Training new staff to operate within the company’s IT systems and ensuring that new staff are aware of company communication policies
  • Making sure that the networks are protected from malware and viruses, identifying areas that might be under threat and areas where security can be improved, keeping up to date on ever-changing cyber-threats
  • Installing and maintaining firewalls, establishing and maintaining company-wide access policies to the internet
  • Providing technical support and assistance to employees as needed
  • Performing analysis and collecting data to establish the potential for improvements within the communication networks
  • Working with third-party providers to keep the networks running efficiently
  • Monitoring network performance and ensuring system availability and reliability
  • Maintaining systems software (upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations)
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security posture

 Work with users and other personnel for problem resolution


  • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in Network Engineering
  • Hands on experience with IT project design and implementation
  • Knowledge of IT helpdesk support software systems
  • Industry certification a plus
  • Experience with Windows Server/Desktop administration (DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Windows 10
  • Experience with LAN/WAN technology including routing, switching and firewalls.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, determine root cause, and develop and implement correction actions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft O365 support and management.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Skilled in networking, networking design, firewall, and security.
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems.
  • Maintain valid Driver’s License with the ability to travel to restaurant locations as needed
