New Directions Mental Health/ Transformations Care Network

As an established network of behavioral health clinics in western Pennsylvania, we are empowering our psychiatrists to provide easy access to high-quality, outcomes-based treatment to all those that need help, when they need it most. In addition to outpatient clinics throughout the area we are now responsible for the inpatient Psychiatric care at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital.

The position will be a combination of inpatient and outpatient services with the ability to provide tele-health to both services

Compensation:

- $325,000 + Based on experience

Inpatient:

Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital- 200-bed full-service health care facility: Monongahela, PA (45 minutes south of Pittsburgh)

- The Psychiatrist will be working in collaboration with the PMHNP and treatment team to provide direct patient care to the inpatient psychiatric unit and consultations to the medical units of Mon Valley Hospital. The position offers a flexible schedule and can be a hybrid of onsite and tele-health(minimum 3 days required onsite).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monday-Friday and 1 weekend every 4 weeks
• 20 Bed Acute Psychiatric Unit

o PMHNP is the primary provider for this unit with the psychiatrist participating in the daily treatment team meeting, collaborating with PMHNP, completing evaluations, paperwork, and hearings for involuntary patients, and completing evaluations and progress notes, if needed, on any patients due to complexity or evaluations requiring completion by a psychiatrist

o Psychiatrist will review and cosign any documentation completed by the PMHNP as required by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and Insurance.

• Medical Floor Consults

o Provide inpatient comprehensive psychiatric consultations and follow-ups.

• Overnight call 3 nights per week (phone only)
• 1 weekend per month phone coverage for questions from PMHNPs covering inpatient psychiatric units at two Penn Highlands locations (Penn Highlands Connellsville and Mon Valley). Additional weekends will be compensated at a per diem rate.

Outpatient: (traditionally afternoons after rounding but there can be some flexibility)

In addition to the inpatient services we have several outpatient clinic locations. Outpatient will be typical intakes and follow ups for medication management as well as review and co-sign for what is needed for the APPs. All locations are within 30 minutes of the hospital including one on the hospital campus as well as a detox/rehab center that requires 4 hours a week of MD time to do psychiatry consults and follow up for the detox/rehab center patients this can be covered one afternoon after rounding on the unit. Tele-health and in-person options are available.

Requirements:

• ABPN Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatry
• Active Pennsylvania Medical and DEA Licenses
• Data 2000 waiver or willingness to get
• MAT experience would be a plus

Compensation: $275,000.00 more
