Location: Remote, Eastern United States

A leading independent supplier of products for industrial communication and the Industrial Internet of Things is seeking an Inside Sales Manager to manage their team of Inside Sales Engineers. This unique position is an excellent opportunity to build, coach, and lead a team of Inside Sales Engineers to drive continued growth in the Industrial Automation and the IIOT markets. The role will also be a part of the Inside Team, providing support for their customers at a high level and leading by example for the rest of the Inside Sales Engineers.

Responsibilities:
  • Set direction and strategy for the Inside Sales Team which supports both North and America
  • Maintain and evolve metrics or other measurements that are helpful in hitting revenue goals and evaluating team and individual performances
  • Drive sales processes including but not limited to lead qualification, opportunity management, account management, CRM processes, ERP sales processes, etc.
  • Recruit, train, and manage members of the inside sales team
  • Coach the Inside Sales team with the goal of aiding the professional development of the individuals and creating growth for the company
  • Coordinate with marketing and outside sales to ensure proper handling of sales leads and provide actionable feedback
  • Create and execute bonus program to incentivize individual behaviors beneficial to hit the overall goal
  • Execution of typical Inside Sales duties (daily customer and internal interactions, discussing applications, products, and pricing) at a high level
  • Other duties include vacation approvals, scheduling coverage during events or illnesses, and account or territory assignment
  • Identifying opportunities for department process improvement and implementing those ideas

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a management role. Ideally a sales management role
  • Working technical knowledge in industrial automation controls, IT networking, and cloud platforms
  • Strong passion for coaching and developing talent
  • Knowledge of proper lead handling processes and sales strategies
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong Customer Service orientation
  • Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems
  • Experience with CRM software
