Job Description

The Investment Banking Analyst position entails analyzing financial statements, creating financial models, performing industry and company research, assisting in the creation of marketing and buyer/investor presentations, drafting offering memoranda, identifying prospective buyers and investors and other tasks related to mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance. Candidates should be familiar with valuation methods including discounted cash flow, comparable companies (public) and comparable transactions (M&A). The position requires a highly-motivated individual willing to take initiative and work long hours in a fast-paced but rewarding deal-making environment.

Ideal candidates should have at least one year of experience in an investment banking, private equity or corporate development role as well as deep familiarity with accounting, finance, marketing, business and economics concepts, with particular emphasis on financial accounting and financial statement analysis. Candidates should have expert proficiency in Excel, strong analytical ability and solid oral and written communication skills, as well as a minimum GPA of 3.5 from a top-tier university.

The Analyst position offers the opportunity to develop a vast set of finance, accounting and marketing & sales skills and gain deep exposure to mergers & acquisitions and private placement (both equity and debt) transactions. Additionally, top performing Analysts are considered for direct promotion to an Associate position.
