Heading the analysis for the origination of tax-advantaged transactions, including partnership transactions, leveraged leases, leases and other similar transactions from origination to funding. Creating and analyzing complex financial solutions relating to structured debt, lease and passive equity transactions utilizing Excel, Advantage and ABC software as well as other applicable proprietary software. Training junior analysts in fundamental financial, tax and accounting concepts, modeling techniques, financial software usage, and bank policies and procedures. Developing and improving the team’s model suite for lease and partnership structures, including Excel, ABC and Advantage template development for use in production models. Meeting with prospective clients and demonstrate how our various financing products can help them achieve their economic, accounting, and tax objectives. Leading the preparation of marketing materials and presentations for client pitches and internal socialization. Supporting internal tax group with requests for current and forecast taxable income and investment/production tax credits. Working with internal and external tax and accounting professionals to develop new structures for clients pursuing asset-backed financing. Aiding in onboarding new clients to the bank and maintaining KYC data. Performing client research into best matches for future pitches of our various products based on companies’ tax/accounting objectives and key performance indicators. Assisting in the legal documentation of transactions and ensuring that the language accurately reflects the underlying commercial agreements and financial models.

Qualifications – External

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field (or foreign equivalent degree).

Experience: 3 years of financial analysis and model development experience in the leasing and asset backed finance industry; using linear optimization pricing software (Warren & Selbert ABC and Advantage for Analysts) to structure transactions and generate cash, tax and accounting reports and documentation schedules; evaluating credit risks and developing applicable mitigation strategies; modeling and documenting partnerships & leases, performing accounting and regulatory capital calculations and structuring partnership/asset finance products (special allocation partnerships, structured debt, synthetic leases, leveraged leases, finance leases and operating leases); tracking partnership flip investments; and applying the rules and regulations of the Basel III international regulatory accord.

Travel: Position requires 10-15% domestic travel to client sites.
