Job Description
Our client is a $15Bn, top-performing multi-stage venture capital firm focused on accelerating disruptive innovations and trends in the Enterprise, Consumer, and Heath Sectors. The office is located in Menlo Park but this position can be on a permanent hybrid work structure if needed.
The Role:
- The candidate will be the fourth member of the investor relations team, working closely with the other three members on the team, and covering a global base of institutional investors.
- The investor relations and marketing team works very closely with the investment team and senior leadership of the firm, giving the candidate direct exposure to seasoned venture capital veterans.
- As the Partners on IR team spend a significant percentage of their time meeting with investors, the candidate will be involved in all aspects of the investor relations including producing portfolio updates, marketing materials, meeting notes, investor profiles and presentations.
- This role has a significant analytical component, identifying key trends and insights from financial data, updating presentation materials, quarterly letters, industry market mapping and working with data to bring the firm's story to life through numbers
- The candidate will also contribute to several key investor events during the year including update calls, ad-hoc meetings, and the Annual Meeting
- During fundraising cycles, the candidate will be expected to be responsible for project management for fundraising and completion of RFPs/DDQ literature
- The candidate will be one of the key points of contact for client queries and requests
- Over time, the candidate will utilize data and exercise analytical thinking to produce critical insights on the portfolio and industry.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university
- 2-4 years of post-undergraduate experience in the financial services sector with experience at a alternative investment firm, accounting firm, investment bank or asset management training program an advantage
- Strong financial background and understanding of venture capital or private equity as an asset class
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
