Journeyman Mechanic: Everett $1500 Bonus

FULL-TIME

$32/hr, plus $1500 new hire bonus, see details below

Work schedule will be swing shift Monday through Friday, 8 to 10 hour shifts, with some weekends required. Cedar Grove offers competitive wages, shift differential pay, tool allowance, benefits and paid vacations. This is a non-Union position. Mechanics must possess the required hand tools to perform the applicable job assignment.

Responsibilities

· Perform routine maintenance and repair on belt lines, grinders, screen plants, off road equipment and on road truck/trailers and collection vehicles.

· Diagnose equipment problems and perform corrective repairs.

· Complete accurate work orders showing labor and materials used to perform each job.

· Remain current with industry standards.

· Maintain cleanliness of shop and work area.

· Personal safety and shop safety.

· Assist in other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Knowledge

· Keep abreast of vehicle repair techniques.

· Diverse mechanical aptitude including diesel, gas truck and heavy equipment repair.

· Fabrication and welding experience.

· Prefer 3-4 years of mechanic experience and/or attendance in a mechanic program.

· Minimum Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement or ability to obtain one.

· Must have valid driver’s license.

· Computer skills a plus.

· Must pass background check and drug test.

· At least 21 years of age.

• Must be at least 21+ years old

Physical Requirements · Must be able to lift 50 lbs. · Must be able to stand, stretch, and bend for a 10 hour day. · Must be able to work in inclement weather for a short period of time. · Must be able to work in confined spaces.
