Job Description

SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our team. The candidate will provide support within a Scrum development environment as part of an integrated team of contractors and government employees. The Junior Software Developer will focus on developing a mission modeling system used to aid and inform DoD stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Perform full-stack software development on a scrum team
• Build new back-end and front-end capabilities
• Fix bugs as they appear
• Learn new modern technologies and implement them
• Work on and test applications with various hosted environments

Required Skills & Experience: C# is required with a combination of exposure to JavaScript, Microsoft SQL Server database, Bootstrap CSS, and Git version control

Additional Requirements:

• Due to the requirements in the Safer Federal Workforce Taskforce guidance and the nature of our covered contracts and facilities, all employees may need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a legal exemption with approved accommodation.

Preferred Skills & Experience:  Elastic ALK stack, RabbitMQ, Docker, Self-starter mentality, interpersonal skills

Education:  A Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in a STEM field.

Minimum Clearance:  Final Secret Clearance

Location: Dahlgren, VA, potential telework for local candidate
