As a Key Account Executive, you will use your stellar sales and planning experience to manage the relationship and uncover unique opportunities to deliver incremental volume at Ahold. We are looking for top talent in the Northeastern United States (i.e. Boston, Philly, Washington DC, Charlotte). On our team, we focus on great relationships - both with each other and our customers. With an owner's mindset, you will work with the field sales team to deliver market-leading customer plans and growth strategies, while managing trade dollars within assigned budgets, to execute customer specific trade plans. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset.

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Account Development - As a Key Account Executive you will develop an annual customer plan that sets objectives to support all brands through merchandising, promotions, advertising, shelf space, pricing and new products.
  • Strategic Partnerships - You will collaborate with customer key decision makers as well as internal cross functional partners to identify opportunities and develop ideas that deliver results.
  • Analytics - Knowing your business will be imperative in driving sales growth. Performing pre and post promotion analysis and revising future programs as necessary will be a key to your success.
  • Budget Management - You will be responsible for managing trade dollars within your assigned budgets and executing customer specific trade plans.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • Significant related experience
  • Account Management Experience
  • Ability to develop, present, and execute customer plans with a focus on customer communication and account penetration
  • Ability to understand market dynamics, forecast results, and analyze and interpret data
  • Strong understanding of trade strategy, retail operation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
  • Belief in the power of food to make a positive change in people and the world around us
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, a servant mindset and a passion for winning
  • Motor vehicle history with 2 or less moving violations within the last 36 months
Bonus Points:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Extensive experience calling on buyers and / or category managers at the headquarters level
  • Experience managing trade dollars within assigned budgets
  • Experience with Syndicated Data (i.e. Nielsen or IRI)
  • Intrinsic enthusiasm for natural foods, natural/organic lifestyle and nutrition
WHAT'S NEXT

The ideal candidate will reside in the Northeast (Boston, Philly, Washington DC, Charlotte).

  • A flexible work schedule and the ability to overnight travel up to 50% of the time but may vary depending on location of residence.
  • This position provides participation in an Auto Reimbursement program for individuals driving at least 5,000 business miles annually.
