THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking an experienced, professional Key Account Manager with strong sales experience and a passion for building partnerships with regional and national retailers for cleaning, floor care and food sanitation innovations. Our ideal candidate will be a go-getter that can effectively communicate Diversey’s products and programs with key stakeholders at all levels of the customers organization (from C-Suite to store level personnel). This role requires previous experience in commercial cleaning applications, retail operations, food safety and data analytics. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing accounts through personal visits and follow-up on a regular basis.
- Secure account penetration and loyalty, by adding overall value to customer accounts; improving current programs, and introducing new innovations and reporting.
- Drive engagement with customers at all levels to ensure needs are met, apprise customers of mutual performance, new products, programs and market trends through periodic and formal Business Reviews.
- Develop and qualify leads within respective geography to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling, partner-selling, lead-generation campaigns, and modern social selling techniques.
- Gaining new business and incremental revenue to meet sales targets.
- Retain, manage, and grow the existing customer base.
- Presenting and creating multi-product solution opportunities through presentations, training, and demonstrations.
- Provide customer training and support as needed across the customer's entire enterprise.
- Collaborate with retail leaders and support teams to ensure profit and value propositions
- Accurately complete administrative duties; budgeting, forecasting and expenses.
- Perform work in a safe manner and use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (high school diploma required at minimum with equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of outside sales experience in Distributor Sales, Chemical Sales, Manufacturing, or Food Service (2+ years of Food Safety and Sanitation experience preferred)
- Valid US driver's license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability to travel up to 50% (overnights as required)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Communication Skills: Proven negotiation, relationship management, communication and presentation skills
- Special Skills: Strategic thinking, financial acumen, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills and strong analytical skills.
- Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products and Salesforce CRM.
