Summary:

Provide direct nursing care to the residents, and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, to maintain the highest degree of quality care at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures
  • Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
  • Initiate corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Willingness to make a difference!
  • First aid and CPR certification
  • Current RN or LPN license in the state of VA
  • Exceptional staff training and customer service skills

License/Certification:

 

  • LVN (Preferred)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides nursing care to patients as assigned.

Administers and records medications and treatments as assigned.

Prepares for and assists Physicians and others with diagnostic procedures and treatments.

Reinforce supports and provides health care instructions to patients and their families.

Participates with other team members in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities.

Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.

Observes and reports patients' vital signs, symptoms and general condition to the appropriate individual(s).

Records on patient charts observation of patient’s responses to nursing care rendered.

Maintains environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients.

Assists with unit management and/or assume charge of unit as assigned.

Experience:

RN/LPN: 1 year (Preferred)

License:

RN/LPN (Required)
