Job Description

We are looking for reliable Private Duty LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses) to care for our medically needy clients in a professional and considerate manner. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse and physician. LPN professionals must be qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic and skilled care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It can be a challenging job but also very rewarding.

The primary service area is Tampa, Brandon, Ruskin, Seffner, and Valrico, FL. Nurses may/or may not have to travel to work in neighboring areas such as Sun City Center, Lakeland, Riverview, Valrico and more. Shifts range from 8hrs-16hrs (doubles).

Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Making home visits to clients living in designated territories.
  • Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures.
  • provides one-on-one care and assesses the effective of the treatment to ensure that the patient receives the most comprehensive, high-quality, and appropriate care possible
  • Provides nursing care and prescribed treatments for patients in their home, according to the physician's plan of care as supervised by RN while following confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical Manager and Client Services Manager.
  • Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders.
  • Performing client assessments as necessary.
  • Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
  • Teach and counsel the patient and family/significant others regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems of the patient at home

Skills

  • Prior home care experience strongly preferred.
  • experience with pediatrics, adults, geriatrics, feeding tubes, developmental disabilities, neurological disorders, endocrine disorders, and injections required.
  • ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Familiarity with health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
  • Perfect physical condition and stamina
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and able to handle stress
  • Successful completion of LPN license program is a must

Qualifications:

  • A current license as a Licensed Practice Nurse in the state of Florida.
  • Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
  • Ability to travel to cases as assigned.

Active, unrestricted FL LPN license
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (skills resume)
HS Diploma/GED
Valid Driver's license and social security card
Reliable transportation with active vehicle registration and insurance
Valid BLS and First Aid card
Recent statement of health
Smart phone access
Good writing skills

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
