LIMS Database and Software Engineer
Hybrid - Durham, NC - Office Available / Not required

WHO YOU ARE:
> You have hands-on laboratory experience and an interest in growing as a software engineer
> You have excellent communication skills
> You are comfortable determining the correct way to represent and record laboratory data, documenting the process, and implementing it into production

THE JOB:
> Implementing tooling and solutions for data recording, workflow management, and data review
> Communicating directly with laboratory staff to understand their needs
> Translating use case requirements into an effective, well-documented, and well-structured laboratory database
> Collaborating to design and implement a new data interface to the LIMS system
> Working with the software engineering team to establish automated transfer protocols between the LIMS system and internally developed tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
> Experience working in an FDA-regulated laboratory environment
> An understanding of the data acquisition and storage needs for biobanking, accessioning, and diagnostic development
> Experience and expertise checking in reagents (LIMS integration) and barcode handling
> Experience working with Python
> Relational database expertise
