Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Analyst - *Up to $80K*

JOB SUMMARY:

The Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Analyst develops operational parameters on system structures. This person maintains information technical services for a variety of areas for the laboratory. The person in this position will frequently be working in depth with the LIS system.

Responsibilities:

• Authors SOP’s for the Laboratory Information Systems policy guide
• Develops and maintains department policies and procedures
• Monitors system interface with facility information systems
• Monitors quality controls and maintenance procedures for accuracy, precision and troubleshoots any issues in timely manner.
• Directs, supervises, or coordinates technical functions and activities in the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be capable of consistent, independent judgment under fluctuating workload pressure.
• Must be able to communicate technical information clearly, by both direct communication and phone.
• Must possess the qualities of integrity and good judgment.
• Must maintain good physical and emotional well-being.
• 4+ years of IT background preferred
• 1+ year experience in a LIS support role required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
