JOB DESCRIPTION 

Our Lead Registered Nurse at Porter Medical Center’s Cardiology Team:  

  • Is directly responsible for attending to patient’s nursing needs in the office setting and over the phone.  

  • Cares for and treats patients according to the standards of nursing practice.  

  • Our RN will demonstrate a pleasant disposition to patients, families, and coworkers.  

  • Patient confidentiality will be maintained at all times.  

  • The Lead Nurse functions as a leader of the clinical support staff at the practice. 

  • Must practice in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. 

Our Cardiology Lead RN will work Monday through Friday, day shifts, in our Middlebury based office.

EDUCATION 

  • Must maintain unrestricted RN license in the State of Vermont.  

  • CPR certification. 

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

  • One year of RN experience required. Two years of relevant RN experience in chosen clinical area preferred. 

  • Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position. 

  • Professional appearance. 

  • Effective communication skills 

  • Effective organization skills 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment 

  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately  

BONUS & RELOCATION ELIGIBLE! 

An employment bonus of up to $10,000 (subject to applicable taxes) is available for this position!  

  • The bonus is paid in two installments: Half in the first paycheck, then the other half after one year of satisfactory employment. 

  • Bonus recipients must commit to continuous full-time or part-time employment in an eligible position for one year with Porter Medical Center and have at least 1 year of experience.  

  • Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.  

In addition, relocation assistance up to $5,200 (subject to applicable taxes) is available to eligible candidates.
