Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides day-to- day supervision to the Social Worker staff, ensures delivery of quality social worker services and contributes to the continuity and effective operation of the department. Provides discharge planning and assistance with social services to the patient or significant other. Collaborates with the care team and other healthcare professionals to implement an interdisciplinary process for evaluating a patients' progress from admission through return to the community. 

Schedule: Full-time, Day shift (with weekend rotation)

What qualifications you will need:

• Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
• License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required  (1 year GRACE PERIOD)
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience within an acute care facility or related healthcare experience
• Skills needed:  Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a 404-bed tertiary care hospital. We are accredited by the Joint Commission and are a Level II Trauma Center. We are a teaching hospital in collaboration with UCF College of Medicine. Our hospital is conveniently and centrally located in the Heart of Kissimmee. We are only minutes from Orlando, St. Cloud, Celebration, and Poinciana.
