Job Responsibilities

• Analyze contracts to determine if a lease exists
• Coordination with international locations related to leasing activities, acting as a subject matter expert to assist with lease accounting and maintenance of their leases on Simplease
• Participation in lease/buy decision making which requires close coordination with mobile equipment and logistics groups
• Consultation with the Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer on lease accounting issues
• Support and analysis with respect to the corporate accounting department
• Oversight and management of our lease accounting software (Simplease) and coordination of its maintenance with public accounting firm, our external software provider
• Ensure maintenance and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley-based internal controls
• Integrity of financial information
• Provide data and information to business units to enable timely budgeting and forecasting of lease expense
• Provide data and information to the tax department to enable timely filing of tax return information
• Post journal entries related to lease activity on approximately ten legal entities
• Prepare month end account reconciliations for approximately ten legal entities, proactively rectifying unreconciled transactions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline
• At least three to five years of experience with a public firm or private industrial company
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley internal accounting control procedures and processes
• Experience and/or education in manufacturing preferred
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), report writing applications, data extraction logic, and ERP functionality, with knowledge of the following applications favored:

• Microsoft Dynamics NAV
• Excel data cubes
