By Joining Wildfire Defense Systems:

- You are guaranteed a 13/13 or 10/16 schedule.
We currently have positions open for the 2022 season in the following Regional Coordination Centers:
Sacramento, CA; Riverside, CA; Visalia, CA; Colorado Springs, CO; Salem, OR; Coeur d’ Alene, ID; and Remote
Pay Ranges
$26 - $38 per hour based on experience and location. Opportunity for per diem and overtime.
The WDS Liaison Officer (LOFR) is responsible for safe coordination of WDS Resources and Incident Management Team (IMT) coordination/relationships while relaying information to the WDS Duty Officer assigned to the incident.
This leadership position is primarily administrative in nature (primary mission) and provides leadership, strategic oversight of operations, and supports/completes administrative tasks. During periods of high fire activity, the LOFR is expected to provide incident management to WDS and Alliance resources when necessary and in coordination with other WDS resources as a (secondary mission).

- S-520, Advanced Incident Management
- L-481, Advanced Leadership for Command and General Staff
- S-420, Command and General Staff
- S-290, Intermediate Wildland Fire Behavior
- L-480, Organizational Leadership in the Wildland Fire Service
- E/L956, Liaison Officer
- Completion and Certification of NWCG Liaison Officer (LOFR) Position Task Book (PMS 311-05)
- Employees must be 21 years of age or older.
- DOT Medical Examiner’s Certification (will be authorized by employer for qualified individuals)
- Current driver’s license with acceptable driving record
